You have two ways to drive home from work: Route A is usually quicker; Route B is scenic but slower. You choose Route A on 80% of your days and this gets you home by 6:00 PM 90% of the time. When you choose Route B you get home by 6:00 PM only 60% of the time. What is the probability that you choose Route B and get home by 6:00 PM?

According to the information the probability of choosing the route B would be 20% (Since the probability of the other option is 80%). Then we multiply it by the probability of getting home at 6 PM through the route B, which is 60%.

P = 20/100*(60/100)

P=1200/10000 (Multiplying fractions)

P=3/25 (Simplifying)

The answer is 3/25 or 12% (converted to percentage)
