What is the point slope form of the line with slope -3/7 that passes through the point (5,8)

A. y + 5 = -3/7 (x + 8)
B. y + 8 = -3/7 (x +5)
C. y - 8 = -3/7 (x - 5)

This is point slope form:
(y - y1) = m(x - x1)

(x1, y1) is (5/8)
m is -3/7

So if we plug those numbers into the equation we get:
(y - 8) = -3/7(x - 5) or simply answer C.

Hope this helps :)
