y=mx+b is the formula one uses to find the slope intersect form in an algebra problem. To solve, you would first find the slope by subtracting the points given. when the slope is found, plug the number in for m.

In the equation of a straight line (when the equation is written as "y = mx
+ b"), the slope is the number "m
" that is multiplied on the x, and "b" is the
y-intercept
, where the line crosses the
y-axis
.
Hope this helps :)
