Solve the equation. 3(x – 9) = 30

3(x-9)=30
3x-27=30
+27 +27
3x=57
x=19

First you expand the brackets:
3x - 27 = 30
And then you can solve:
3x - 27 = 30
+ 27
3x = 57
÷ 3
x = 19
