IN THE BOOK THE HELP

In reference to the book to which she is contributing her story, Minny says, “...’it’s a sorry fact that it’s a white woman doing this’” (p. 255). What are some of the issues raised by the fact that a white woman is the editor and a contributor to a book about the experiences of black maids?

I might not be understanding the question right, but I think the answer might be that a white woman can't really understand what the black women went through? I hope this helps, sorry if it doesn't :/

Answer:

The answer is: That Minny does not understand how Skeeter a white woman and well prepared having finished her studies at the university, joins her and Aibileen, two women of color to get into complications.

Explanation:

Skeeter, Aibileen and Minny will come together to carry out a clandestine project that will pose a great risk to all of them; however, they embark on it in order to try to free themselves from the bonds of the time, the city and the prejudices of its inhabitants.

The answer is: That Minny does not understand how Skeeter a white wpman and well prepared having finished her studies at the university, joins her and Aibileen, two women of color to get into complications.
