The exponent
"product rule" tells us that, when multiplying
two powers that have the same base,
you can add
the
exponents
. In this example,
you can
see how it works.

When you multiply a number with an Exponent nothing adds..what happens is if for example
your problem is 4 exponent 3 you need to multiply 4 by itself 3 times... so 4 exponent 3 equals 4 x 4 x 4.
