Cayden is 6 years older than Kaylee. If Cayden is y years old, and Kaylee is x years old, which of the following equations represents the relationship between their ages?

Answer:

x + 6 = y or y - 6 = x

Explanation:

If you know that Cayden is 6 years older than Kaylee, then x (Kaylee's age) + 6 years = y (Cayden's age). You don't know the ages of them but you still know how much older Cayden is than Kaylee.
