The actual distance from Los Angeles to Las Vegas = 270 miles.

Hence, the scale that can be used to relate the image and actual distances is;


1.0^(\prime)^(\prime)=270miles

From the image, San Francisco to Las Vegas = 2.1"

Thus, using the scale, the actual distance from San Francisco to Las Vegas will be;
