In order to write
(18)/(25) as a decimal, we need to find a fraction equivalent to
(18)/(25) with a 100 in the denominator. Notice that if we multiply the numerator and the denominator of
(18)/(25) by 4, we get the equivalent fraction
(72)/(100) which we can now write as a decimal. Remember that the hundredths place is 2 places to the right of the decimal point. Therefore, we can write
(72)/(100) as 0.72.

To write a fraction to a percent, first remember that a percent is a ratio of a number to 100 so to write
(18)/(25) as a percent, we need to find a fraction equivalent to
(18)/(25) that has a 100 in the denominator. We can . do this by setting up a proportion.

(18)/(25)
(n)/(100)

Now, we can use cross products to find the missing value.

25n = 1800

÷ 25 ÷25

n = 72%

Therefore,
(18)/(25) is equal to 72%.
