Answer:

y= -1/3+ 5.3

Explanation:

You take any two sets of points and do the formula
(Y2-Y1)/(X2-X1)

I chose ( -1,-5) as X1 and Y1 and (-5,7) as X2 and Y2.

Plug that into the formula and you should get
(-1)/(3). That is your slope.

To find y intercept we use the formula
y= mx + b.

We know our slope which is m, and to find y-intercept we use any point that was given to use in place of x and y in the formula. I used (-5,7).

Which looks like
7= (-1)/(3)(-5) + b.

After solving for b you should get 5.3

Final answer should be y= -1/3+ 5.3
