A fireman is halfway up a ladder. He goes down 4 steps to get the hose and then climbs 15 steps. When he stops climbing, there are 3 more steps before the last step of the ladder. How many steps does the ladder have?

there are 4 steps, then u add the 15 steps he climbed then the 3 steps that are left, thats 22 steps, but since thats half of the ladder u add another 22 steps and u get the answer.... 44 steps
