(3)/(2x) - \frac{1}{8 {x}^(2) }If possible, a step by step for this would help immensely so I could do the rest of the problems like this one.

Problem

Solution

For this case we can take common factor in the denominator 2x and we got:

(1)/(2x)((3)/(1)-(1)/(4x))

Then we can solve the fractions with this operation:

(1)/(2x)((3\cdot4x-1\cdot1)/(1\cdot4x))=(1)/(2x)((12x-1)/(4x))

then we can simplify on this way:

(12x-1)/(6x^2)

(3)/(2x) - \frac{1}{8 {x}^(2) }If possible, a step by step for this would help immensely-example-1
