x + (6)/(3) - x + (2)/(3)

Add like terms,

=
(8)/(3)

The Final answer would be
(8)/(3)

the commutative property says
a+b=b+a
we can move them around

remember that (a/b)+(c/b)=(a+c)/b

x+6/3-x+2/3=
x-x+6/3+2/3=
0+(6+2)/3=
8/3
