Area of rectangle= length ×bread

The figure has been divided into 3 rectangles, namely rectangle A, B and C.

Area of A

= 7(14)

= 98 cm²

Length of B

= 5 +7 +4

= 16 cm

Breadth of B

= 4 +4 +12

= 20 cm

Area of B

= 16 ×20

= 320 cm²

Area of C

= 4 ×12

= 48 cm²

Total area of the figure

= area of A +area of B+ area of C

= 98 +320 +48

= 466 cm²
