How to simplify fractions

Firstly, find a common factor.

Once you find that, divide both the numerator and denominator by that/those number (s) and you will have a simplified version of your original fraction.

Keep doing so until you have fully simplified.

Hope this helps!

Hello There!

To simplify fractions, divide both the numerator "top number" and the denominator "bottom number" until you can't go any lower.

EXAMPLE

(4)/(8) =
(1)/(2)

You divide the numerator and the denominator both by 4 which gives you the fraction
(1)/(2)
