4x^2=10x-4
divide both sides by 2
2x^2=5x-2
minus 5x from both sides and add 2 to both sides
2x^2-5x+2=0
use quadratic formula
for
ax^2+bx+c=0
x=
given
2x^2-5x+2=0
a=2
b=-5
c=2
x=
x=
x=
x=
x=(5+3)/4 or (5-3)/4
x=8/4 or 2/4
x=2 or 1/2
3rd option is correct
