1/2 = 3/6 - 1/6 = 2/6 = 1/3 of container is filled with 7 gallons
to fill a container 3 x 7 = 21 gallons

1/6 to 1/2
1/2 times3/3=3/6
1/6 to 3/6
change of 2/6=1/3
1/3 of all =7
times 3 both sides
all=21
container holds 21 gallons
