The probability of each one of them selecting the winning numbers is:

(1)/(30888)

Now, since they make their choices independently, the probability of both selecting the winning numbers is the product of the probabilities for each one winning:

(1)/(30888)\cdot(1)/(30888)=(1)/(30888^2)

When we compute this division, we find the approximate value:

1.0481\cdot10^(-9)

Now, rounding this result to the nearest hundredth, the approximate probability that both will select the winning numbers is

1.05\cdot10^(-9)
