Can somebody pleas help explain how i do this

equation given

`(6)/(7)\x-8=7`

calculations
add 8 to both sides
`(6)/(7)x-8+8=7+8`
divide both sides by 6/7...
which means multiply by 7/6
`(6)/(7)x*(7)/(6)=15*(7)/(6)`

So now you have
`x=15*(7)/(6)=(15*7)/(6)=(105)/(6)=17.5`
