That's incorrect. You'd solve this through division, 49 divided by 7. 49 divided by 7 is 7, and therefore, n=7.

No, she is not correct. When using a multiplication table 7x6 = 42 but 7x7=49. In order to solve the problem, note the fact family relationship between multiplication and division.
