Answer: x = -1, 2, or 4
-1^3 - 5(-1)^2 + 2*-1 + 8
-1 - 5 - 2 + 8 = 0
2^3 - 5(2)^2 + 2*2 + 8
8 - 20 + 4 + 8 = 0
4^3 - 5(4)^2 + 2*4 + 8
64 - 80 + 8 + 8 = 0
