B. They either matchup up with a receptor molecule on the surface of the cell or enter the cell through the membrane
C. they connect with an adjacent cell where an ion linked receptor carry them into the nucleus
D. the connect with another cell part such as the Golgi apparatus, with hormones interpret the signal
