Use the table in the previous question where 5 peppers cost $2.25 to answer the below.

If C is cost and n is number of peppers, then C =
x n.

Using the equation, how many peppers can you buy for $20?


Hint: Remember, you can only buy whole peppers.

If five peppers cost $2.25 then you could buy 40 peppers with $18 dollars and have $2 left over

Answer:

44 peppers

Explanation:

u need to know how much each pepper costs so

2.25 / 5 = 0.45

and you have $20 and want to know how many u can buy so

20 / 0.45 = 44.4444444 peppers but u can only buy whole peppers so u round down to the nearest whole number
