So, what you need to do is take away the parenthesis so you can combine like terms:
c+4-3c-2=0
Add 4 and -2: 4+-2=2
Add c and -3c: c+=3c=-2c

Now you have:
2-2c=0

Add the -2c to the other side so we can work on getting c alone:
2=2c

Divide by 2 so c will now be alone:
c=1
The answer is C
