The area of the figure is as follow below,


\begin{gathered} \text{Area of Shape = Area of Rectangle + Area of Trapezium} \\ =(l* b)+(1)/(2)(a+c)h \end{gathered}
\begin{gathered} \text{Where l = 23cm and b = 12cm } \\ a=15\operatorname{cm},\text{ l = c = 23cm and h = 6cm} \end{gathered}
\begin{gathered} \text{Area of shape = (23}*12)+(1)/(2)(15+23)6 \\ =276+(1)/(2)(38)6=276+114=390\operatorname{cm}^2 \end{gathered}

Hence, the Area of the shape has been deduced above.
