When multiplied you get 162.
So,therefore 27 times 6 = 27 x 3 x 2(that is three 27's taken twice, or six 27's

27. 1st you multiply 7×6 equals 42 ....carry 4
×6. over 2
2. 2nd you do 2×6 equals 12... add 4 +12
=162. <-------then you get this
