Simplified:
2 24/25

2. Erin: 1/2
Lauren: 6/8 simplified: 3/4

Compare 1/2 and 3/4 common denominator of 4:
2/4 and 3/4, 3/4 is bigger so Lauren was more successful.

1. 2.96 = 2 96/100 = 2 24/25 ( thats 2 and 24/25)
2. 1 out of 2 = 1/2 (Erin)
6 out of 8 = 3/4 (Lauren)
Lauren is more successful because 3/4 is greater then 1/2
