assuming second equation is 6x+8y=44
so first divide 2nd eqation by 2 to make it eqaier
3x+4y=22
sub 6x+4 for y
3x+4(6x+4)=22
3x+24x+16=22
minus 16 both sides
27x=6
divide both sides by 27
x=2/9
sub back
y=6x+4
y=6(2/9)+4
y=12/9+4 (4=36/4)
y=48/9
