Solve the following equation: -3 = 1 + m.

-3=1+m
-1 from each side so that you are left with just m on the right side.
-4=m

So it it the second/third answer as chul has stated

Math:

Step #1:
Flip equation around.

m + 1 = -3

Now this should be easy to simplify.

Step #2: Subtract 1 from both sides.

m + 1 = -3
- 1 = -1

you get: m = -4

Your answer: m = -4
