Greek culture is well-known for the advancements that they achieved in the fields of medicine, philosophy, art, culture, literature and many others. These were unparalleled in the Western World. However, this interest in scholarship also left a mark on how they thought about religion and their gods. As Greeks began to rely on logic and observation, they also began to realize that the gods did not seem to control everything. This led to gods that were less perfect, and not omnipotent in the way that the Jewish god was.
