It would be Answer C because you would just do 90 × 0.05 (<- always in decimal form). Which the answer is 94.5 or $94.50. The $35 is just extra information. Hope this helped you!

Answer: $92.75 - Apex

Explanation:

90-35=55

55*0.05 (which is 5%)= 2.75

2.75 is the amount of taxes

You add the taxes to the total

2.75+90= 92.75

No, the $35 of untaxable groceries, is not just "extra information," it is an important and vital part of the equation. if needed

90-35=x

x(0.05)=y

y+90= Total

Have fun apex kids!!
