The volume of a cube is given by:


V=s^3

Where s is the edge length of the cube, thus the volume of the cube is:


\begin{gathered} V=(5\operatorname{cm})^3 \\ V=125\operatorname{cm}^3 \end{gathered}

The volume of a rectangular prism is given by:


V=b* h* l

Where b is the base, h is the height and l is the length. By replacing the know values we obtain:


\begin{gathered} V=5\operatorname{cm}*25\operatorname{cm}*1\operatorname{cm} \\ V=125\operatorname{cm}^3 \end{gathered}
