What is 5/7 + 3/7??????

Since the denominators are already alike we can just add the numerators together. 5+3 = 8. So we have 8/7. Since 8/7 is an incomplete fraction we have to turn it into a regular fraction. We do this by dividing 8 and 7.
So 7 goes into 8 1 time, 1 times 7 is seven, and 8 - 7 = 1. So we get 1 1/7.
you answer is 1 1/7
