Which expression represents the composition g(f(x)) for the functions below?

f(x) = –3x2
g(x) = 3x

Ok seems you're in Algebra 1 :) well let me help you Franky :D

f(x) is inside g(x) so think of it as G(f(x)) = 3(-3x^2) (SHOW EXPONENTS WITH ^ LIKE x^2 :D )

3(-3x^2) Now distribute :D

3*-3x = -9x
dont forget that exponent :P

g(f(x)) = -9x^2

WE need to find composition of function g(f(x))

To find g(f(x)) we replace f(x) in g(x)


g(f(x))= g(-3x^2)

Now we replace -3x^2 inside g(x)


g(-3x^2)=3(-3x^2)= -9x^2


g(f(x))=-9x^2
