Let's try division first. 46÷5= 9 1/5. So, that doesn't work.
Next, we will find the next multiple of five. This is 50. 46+4=50. Right now, Alyson can only make 9 bracelets. (5 x 9 =45) She needs 4 more to use all of her beads, making 10 bracelets.
