If you take the ln to both sides, the equation would be:

(n-3)ln25 = (n+8)ln5

This is because according to logarithm properties,
ln a^(b) =b \ lna
Transposing and combining like terms:

(n-3)/(n+8) = ln5/ln25
(n-3)/(n+8) = 1/2
2(n - 3) = n + 8

Distributing 2 to the terms inside the parenthesis,

2n - 6 = n + 8
Combining like terms,
2n - n = 8 + 6
n = 14
