n=21 over 4 You solve for n by simplifying both sides of the equation, then isolating the variable.

7*3/4 = 5 1/4. 5 1/4 as an improper fraction is 21/4. To find the improper version, Multiply 5*4 and you get 20. Add 20+1 and you get 21. Keep the Denominator (or the bottom number) the same, and you have 21/4.
