id say letting the discussion continue as long as people are contributing, because then your getting the necessary information and everyone is giving they're own useful opinion on the subject. but at the same time they're may be some negative sides to this as well. such as everyone talking over each other or somebody getting frustrated over somebody else opinion. but still, this is a more effective way for a group meeting. hope this helped!!
