A lot of times students will automatically say "Joanne's bullying me!" This is simply because many times students don't know when something is bullying or when it is just mean or rude. Being mean and rude is...well MEAN but should not be mixed up with BULLYING. So what is the difference?

Answer:

Being rude could be making unnececsary comments towards other people or things that might just bother you for no reason. Bullying is usually targetted to one person and to make that specific person feel bad about themselves. The remarks while bullying usually are about your life and personal situation entended to make you feel bad or worse.
