Write an equation of a line parallel to the line y=1/2x+8 and passing through the point (0, 1).

If it's parallel, that means that the line has the same gradient (x value) as the line given, and if it passes through (0, 1), that means the Y intercept is 1. So therefore, the equation is
y = 1/2x + 1
