Here's the answer! Let me know if you can't read it
I wrote the bracket (t + 5)^2 as (t - 5)^2 but it's alright because I got the answer incorrect on the paper, but it is correct with +5... if that makes sense?

t^2-(t+5)^2-20=0
t^2-(t+5)^2=20
t^2-(t+5)(t+5)=20
t^2-(t^2+5t+5t+25)=20
t^2-(t^2+10t+25)=20
t^2-t^2-10t-25=20
-10t-25=20
-10t=45
t=-4.5
Hope this helps :)
