A semi circular shape is referring to half a circle.
We have the formula for the area of a circle so plug in the #.
r which is radius is equal to half the diameter and for pi we use 3.14

(3.14)(1.5)^2
Using a calc we get 7.065
since it says one decimal place we round it to 7.1 since the next digit 6 is greater than 5

Answer:

3.5\ m^(2)

Explanation:

we know that

The area of a circle is equal to

A=\pi r^(2)

so

The area of a semicircle is equal to

A=(1)/(2) \pi r^(2)

In this problem we have

r=3/2=1.5\ m -----> the radius is equal to the diameter divided by two

\pi=3.14

substitute in the formula of area of the semicircle

A=(1)/(2)*(3.14)*(1.5^(2))=3.5\ m^(2)
