ln is just log base e
ok so properties
log(a/b)=loga-logb
log(ab)=loga+logb
log(a^x)=xloga
so
ln(y(y+2)^5)/(y-1)=
ln(y(y+2)^5)-ln(y-1)=
lny+ln(y+2)^5-ln(y-1)=
lny+5ln(y+2)-ln(y-1)
