5+2*10

we know that

The rule of PEMDAS (parentheses, exponents, multiplication, division, addition, subtraction) states that you do the one that comes first.

So

In this problem

First, take the
2 and multiply it by
10, as multiplication comes before addition.


2*10=20

Second, take the result and add it by 5


20+5=25

therefore

the answer is
25
