The circumference of a circular painting is 53.38 feet. What is the radius of the painting? Use 3.14 for pi and do not round your answer.

The circumference or perimeter of the circle has the formula 2*pi*r, where r is the radius of the circle. This could then be easily calculated:

C = 2*pi*r
53.38 = 2*3.14*r
53.38 = 6.28r
r = 53.38/6.28
r = 8.5 ft

Thus, the radius of the circle has a length of 8.5 feet.
