First

a) Scale factor is 1/4

Divide each side by 4.

b)

Area of triangle 1

\begin{gathered} =\text{ }\frac{Base\text{ x Height }}{2} \\ \text{Base = 16} \\ \text{Height = 12} \\ \text{Area = }\frac{16\text{ x 12}}{2} \\ =\text{ }(192)/(2) \\ =\text{ 96} \end{gathered}

Area of 2

\begin{gathered} =\text{ }\frac{Base\text{ x Heigth}}{2} \\ \text{Base = 4} \\ \text{Height = 3} \\ \text{Area = }\frac{4\text{ x 3}}{2} \\ =\text{ 6} \end{gathered}

Ratio of area 1 to area 2 = 96:6

= 16:1

c) Perimeter of a triangle is the sum of the length of the length

Perimeter of ABC = 12 + 20 + 16 = 48

Perimeter of EFG = 3 + 5 + 4 = 12

Ratio of ABC and EFG = 48:12 = 4:1

d) ratio of correcponding side =

12:3 = 4:1

20:5 = 4:1

16:4 = 4:1
