Factor completely x2- 4x - 12

prime
(x - 2)(x - 6)
(x + 2)(x - 6)
(x - 2)(x + 6)
the only reason i am confused is because of the word prime... ?

x^2 - 4x - 12 = 0

If multiplied it became -12

If added it became -4

the only number that made sense is = -6 and 2

So the answer would be :
(x+2) (x-6)
