A cab company charges a $3.00 flat fee and $0.55 for each additional mile. James has

no more than $25.00 to spend on a ride. How many miles can James travel without
exceeding his spending limit?

Answer:

I think the answer is 40.

Explanation:

$3 = initial fee; 0.55 = each additional mile

25 - 3 = 22 = (how much money he has left)

22 ÷ 0.55 = 40 = how many miles he can drive
