Please check my answer on point slopes.. I must have made a mistake!

Here is the problem:

Find the equation of a line given the point and slope below. Arrange your answer in the form y = mx + b, where b is the constant.

(1, 3)

m = 2

y = 3x + b

(x,y)
m=slope
y=mx+b
m=2
so
y=2x+b, not 3x
now
(1,3)
x=1
y=3
3=2(1)+b
3=2+b
minus 2
1=b

y=2x+1

y = mx + b
slope(m) = 2
(1,3)....x = 1 and y = 3
now we sub and find b, the y int
3 = 2(1) + b
3 = 2 + b
3 - 2 = b
1 = b

so ur equation is : y = 2x + 1
