Answer: The answer would be 11.1 miles

You have to use the proportion: 1 inch map / 3.7 miles actual distance

Then, 3 inches measured in the map = 3 inch map * 3.7 miles actual distance / 1 inch map = 11.1 miles

Answer: 11.1 miles
